Shear line to affect Eastern Visayas, parts of Mindanao
Multiple weather systems will bring cloudy skies and rain over several areas of the country.
According to PAGASA’s daily weather forecast on Saturday afternoon, the shear line will cause cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Misamis Oriental, Camiguin, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands.
The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Cagayan Valley, Apayao, Kalinga, Aurora, and Quezon, and partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains over Metro Manila, the rest of Luzon, and the rest of Visayas.
The rest of Mindanao will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies.
Flash floods or landslides may occur as a result of these weather conditions.
Meanwhile, the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas will observe moderate to strong winds with moderate to rough waters.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds with slight to moderate seas.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:17 a.m. on Sunday. —Jiselle Anne Casucian/VBL, GMA Integrated News
