3 weather systems to bring rain across PH

Cloudy skies and rain are expected to persist in several areas in the country in the next 24 hours due to three weather systems, PAGASA said Sunday afternoon.

According to the state weather bureau's 4 p.m. forecast, parts of the Visayas as well as Sorsogon, Masbate, and Romblon will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and isolated thunderstorms due to the shear line.

Meanwhile, the easterlies will affect the weather conditions of Mindanao and Palawan.

PAGASA warned that these weather conditions may trigger flash floods or landslides.

The Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will bring cloudy skies with light rains over Quezon and the rest of the Bicol Region.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will be observed in Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon also due to the Amihan.

PAGASA said these weather conditions will have no significant impact on the affected areas.

State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern sections of southern Luzon and Visayas.

The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.

The sun will rise at 6:16 a.m. on Monday. — Mariel Celine Serquiña/BM, GMA Integrated News
