PAGASA heat index forecast: 43°C heat index expected in Coron, Palawan

Coron in Palawan is expected to experience the highest heat index of 43° Celsius on Monday, March 2 and Tuesday, March 3 the state weather bureau said on Sunday night.

In a post on its Facebook page, PAGASA issued a two-day heat index forecast and a computed heat index for the past five days even as it has yet to declare the start of the dry season.

Coron, Palawan is forecast to experience the highest heat index of 43° Celsius in the next two days, while the forecasted heat index for Dumangas, Iloilo until March 3 is 42° Celsius.

Meanwhile the heat index forecast for Metro Manila on Monday, March 2 is 36° at the PAGASA Science Garden in Quezon City and 37° Celsius at the Ninoy Aquino International Airport (NAIA) in Pasay City.

On Tuesday, March 3, the heat index forecast for Metro Manila is 35° Celsius at the PAGASA Science Garden and 36° Celsius at the NAIA. — JMA, GMA Integrated News
