PAGASA: Amihan, easterlies to bring cloudy skies, light rains over parts of PH
The Northeast Monsoon (amihan) will be affecting extreme Northern Luzon while the effects of the easterlies will be felt in the rest of the country, PAGASA reported.
Forecast Weather Conditions
Batanes and Babuyan Islands will have cloudy skies with light rains brought about by the Northeast Monsoon but with no significant impact.
Ilocos Norte, Apayao, and Mainland Cagayan will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains also due to the Northeast Monsoon and with no significant impact.
Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms brought about by the easterlies. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Forecast Wind and Coastal Water Conditions
The wind speed forecast for Northern Luzon is moderate and moving in the east to northeast direction while coastal waters will be moderate.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate wind speed moving Northeastward with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Heat Index
The area with the highest Heat Index is Coron, Palawan with 42°C, with CLSU Muñoz in Nueva Ecija with 41°C while Puerto Princesa in Palawan, Dumangas in Iloilo, Borongan, Samar, Cotabato City in Maguindanao and Dagupan City, Pangasinan with 40°C.
