LPA outside PAR may develop into Tropical Depression —PAGASA

LPA being outside PAR may develop into Tropical Depression

A low pressure area (LPA) being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) may develop into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

"As of 8:00 AM today, March 7, 2026, a low pressure area is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility and has a low chance of developing into a Tropical Depression within the next 24 hours," PAGASA said.

"All are advised to monitor updates from DOST-PAGASA," it added.

Earlier, PAGASA said most of the country will see cloudy skies and rains due to the easterlies and the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan).

Batanes, the Babuyan Islands, Apayao, Mainland Cagayan, and the Ilocos Region will experience cloudy skies with light rains, while the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region and the rest of Cagayan Valley will expect partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains from Amihan.

Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will prevail in the rest of the country due to the easterlies.

In Northern Luzon, winds will be moderate to strong along with moderate to rough coastal water conditions.

Light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas are expected in the rest of the country.

Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:09 a.m. Sunset is scheduled for 6:05 p.m. —VAL, GMA Integrated News
