Amihan, easterlies to bring rains over parts of Luzon, Visayas — PAGASA
The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) on Sunday said the Northeast Monsoon or amihan will continue to affect Northern and Central Luzon, bringing cloudy skies and rains to several areas.
In its 4 a.m. weather bulletin, PAGASA said Cagayan Valley, Ilocos Norte, Apayao, Kalinga, and Aurora will experience cloudy skies with rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Residents in these areas were warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to, at times, heavy rainfall.
The Easterlies or warm winds from the Pacific will also bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Eastern Visayas, Surigao del Norte, and Dinagat Islands, which may also experience possible flash floods or landslides during periods of heavy rain.
Meanwhile, Quezon, Oriental Mindoro, Marinduque, and the rest of the Cordillera Administrative Region will have cloudy skies with light rains due to the northeast monsoon.
Metro Manila, the Ilocos Region, Occidental Mindoro, the rest of Central Luzon, and the rest of CALABARZON will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains, according to PAGASA.
The rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms caused by the easterlies. The weather bureau warned that severe thunderstorms could still trigger localized flash floods or landslides.
The highest temperature recorded by PAGASA on Saturday was 31°C at 1 p.m., while the lowest was 24.2°C at 5 a.m..
PAGASA said the sun rose at 6:09 a.m. and will set at 6:05 p.m. over Metro Manila.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
