LPA outside PAR has ‘low’ chance of becoming storm — PAGASA

A low pressure area (LPA) outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility has a “low” chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, PAGASA said Sunday morning.

As of 8 a.m., the LPA was located 1,405 kilometers east of Northeastern Mindanao.

PAGASA urged the public to be updated with the agency’s latest advisories.

The state weather bureau earlier said the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan) will continue to affect Northern and Central Luzon, bringing cloudy skies and rains to several areas. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
