LPA outside PAR has ‘medium’ chance of becoming tropical depression
The low pressure area (LPA) being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) has now a "medium" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, state weather bureau PAGASA said.
As of 8 p.m., LPA (03a) was monitored 1,340 kilometers east of northeastern Mindanao.
PAGASA earlier said that the trough of the LPA will bring cloudy skies and rain to the eastern sections of Visayas and Mindanao over the next 24 hours
Among the areas to experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the LPA’s trough include Eastern Visayas, Central Visayas, Negros Island Region, Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Davao Oriental, Davao de Oro, and Davao del Norte. — Vince Angelo Ferreras/BM, GMA Integrated News
