Light rains to prevail in Northern Luzon due to Amihan
Several areas in Northern Luzon will see cloudy skies and light rains in the next 24 hours due to the Northeast Monsoon (Amihan), PAGASA said Wednesday afternoon.
According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the affected areas are Cagayan, Isabela, and Aurora.
Partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains will also persist in the Cordillera Administrative Region, Ilocos Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley due to the Amihan.
PAGASA said these weather conditions will have no significant impact on the affected areas.
Localized thunderstorms will bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the country.
PAGASA warned that the severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.
State meteorologists also said winds will be moderate to strong, while coastal waters will be moderate to rough in the eastern section of Luzon, the eastern sections of Visayas, and Mindanao.
The rest of the country will experience light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal waters.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 6:01 a.m. on Thursday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA Integrated News
