Cloudy skies, rain showers from easterlies to prevail across PH

The easterlies will be the dominant weather system in the country in the next 24 hours, according to the state weather bureau PAGASA's early Saturday morning forecast.

PAGASA said the easterlies would bring cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms over Caraga, Northern Mindanao, Southern Leyte, Bohol, Lanao del Sur, Cotabato, and Davao Oriental.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms.

The weather agency warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to heavy rains or severe thunderstorms.

Winds will be light to moderate, and coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the Philippines.

The sun will rise over Metro Manila at 6 a.m. and set at 6:07 p.m. —VBL, GMA Integrated News
