The Philippine Atmospheric, Geophysical and Astronomical Services Administration (PAGASA) said Sunday that easterlies will continue to affect the country, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms in Metro Manila and the rest of the Philippines.

In its 4 a.m. weather forecast on Sunday, PAGASA said the weather system may trigger possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms.

Winds across Northern Luzon are expected to be light to moderate, coming from the southeast to northeast, with coastal waters ranging from slight to moderate (0.5 to 1.8 meters). The rest of the country will experience similar wind conditions, blowing from the east to northeast, with comparable sea conditions.

The maximum temperature recorded the previous day, based on data from the PAGASA Weather Station in Science Garden, Diliman, Quezon City, reached 33.6°C at 3 p.m., while the minimum dropped to 24.6°C at 6 a.m.

Sunrise was at 5:54 a.m., and sunset is at 6:08 p.m.—MCG, GMA Integrated News
