Easterlies to bring isolated rains across PH on Maundy Thursday
Isolated rains are expected in several areas of the country on Maundy Thursday due to the easterlies, PAGASA said Wednesday afternoon.
According to its 4 p.m. weather forecast, the state weather bureau said Batanes will see partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated light rains due to the northeasterly windflow, but with no significant impact.
Meanwhile, partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms will persist in Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley due to localized thunderstorms.
The same weather conditions will be observed in Metro Manila and the rest of the country due to the easterlies.
PAGASA warned that the severe thunderstorms may trigger flash floods or landslides.
State meteorologists also said that extreme Northern Luzon will experience moderate wind and coastal water conditions.
Winds will be light to moderate, while coastal waters will be slight to moderate throughout the rest of the country.
Sunrise in Metro Manila will be at 5:51 a.m. on Thursday. —Mariel Celine Serquiña/RF, GMA News
