Easterlies to bring cloudy skies, rains in different parts of PH

The easterlies affecting several parts of the country are expected to bring cloudy skies and rains in the next 24 hours, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 p.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said the easterlies are affecting Central Luzon, Southern Luzon, Visayas, and Mindanao on April 2, Maundry Thursday.

The northeasterly windflow is affecting Batanes, which may experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rains.

Meanwhile, localized thunderstorms may bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms to the Ilocos Region, Cordillera Administrative Region, and the rest of Cagayan Valley.

Metro Manila and the rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the easterlies.

PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms in the above-mentioned areas.

Meanwhile, moderate winds and moderate coastal water conditions are expected in Extreme Northern Luzon. The rest of the country will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate seas.
