Some parts of the country may experience cloudy skies and isolated rainshowers and thunderstorms on Tuesday due to localized thunderstorms, the state weather bureau said.

In its 4 a.m. public weather forecast, PAGASA said the ridge of a high pressure area (HPA) is extending over Northern and Central Luzon. This is characterized by a mass of cool, dry air and prevents the formation of cloud bands, lessening the likelihood of rainfall.

Localized thunderstorms may affect Metro Manila and the rest of the country, bringing partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.

Northern and Central Luzon, as well as the rest of the country, will have light to moderate winds and slight to moderate coastal water conditions.
