A low pressure area (LPA) is being monitored outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility (PAR) and has a "high" chance of developing into a tropical depression within the next 24 hours, according to PAGASA.

The state weather bureau issued the advisory based on its 2 a.m. tropical cyclone outlook.

The LPA was spotted 3.095 kilometers East of Northern Mindanao

Meanwhile, for the daily weather forecast, PAGASA said Metro Manila and the rest of the country will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to the localized thunderstorms.

Possible flash floods or landslides during severe thunderstorms could occur, it added.
