PAGASA: Hot, humid weather with chance of rain as easterlies prevail
Easterlies, or warm winds blowing from the Pacific, will prevail in parts of the country on Thursday, bringing hot, humid weather with a chance of rains, PAGASA said.
This weather system triggers hot and humid conditions, causing high temperatures especially from noon to afternoon, according to weather specialist Chenel Dominguez.
In its 4 a.m. bulletin, the weather bureau said Dinagat Islands, Surigao del Norte, Surigao del Sur, and Davao Oriental will experience cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms as a result of the easterlies.
The same weather system will give Metro Manila and the rest of the country partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms.
PAGASA warned of possible flash floods or landslides due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Meanwhile, as of 2 a.m. on Thursday, no low pressure areas are being monitored for tropical cyclone formation.
