LPA's trough, Habagat will bring cloudy skies, scattered rains over parts of PH
The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain over Mindanao and Palawan while the trough of a low pressure area (LPA) will be affecting the eastern sections of Southern Luzon and Visayas on Wednesday, PAGASA reported.
Forecast weather conditions
Mindanao, Western Visayas, Negros Island Region, Central Visayas, and Palawan may expect cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
The Bicol Region and Eastern Visayas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the trough of the LPA while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.
Metro Manila and the rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.
Forecast wind and coastal water conditions
The wind speed forecast for Mindanao and Palawan is light to moderate moving in the southwest to west direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.
Visayas, Central Luzon, and the rest of Southern Luzon will experience light to moderate winds moving in the northeast to northwest direction while coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
The rest of Luzon will experience light to moderate wind speed with variable direction while coastal waters will be light to moderate.
