Habagat to bring cloudy skies, rain over Luzon — PAGASA

The Southwest Monsoon (Habagat) will bring cloudy skies with scattered rain over Luzon on Monday, PAGASA reported.

Meanwhile, the weather bureau continues to monitor Tropical Depression Noul (formerly Kiyapo) located 1,015 kilometers west northwest of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 kilometers per hour near the center, gustiness up to 90 km/h, and moving north northwestward at the speed of 20 km/ph.

Forecast weather conditions

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Cagayan Valley, Cordillera Administrative Region, MIMAROPA, Zambales, Bataan, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, and Batangas will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon while flash floods or landslides may occur due to moderate to at times heavy rains.

The rest of Luzon will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon. Flash floods or landslides may occur during severe thunderstorms.

The rest of the country will have partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rain showers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms with the possibility of flash floods or landslides occurring during severe thunderstorms.

Forecast wind and coastal water conditions

The wind speed forecast for the western section of Luzon is moderate and moving in the southwest to south direction. Moderate coastal waters are expected.

The rest of Luzon will have light to moderate winds moving in the south to southeast direction with slight to moderate coastal waters.

The wind speed forecast for the Visayas and Mindanao is light to moderate and moving in the south to southwest direction. Coastal waters will be slight to moderate.
