PAGASA: Habagat to bring isolated rainshowers over NCR, Luzon

The Southwest Monsoon or Habagat will continue to bring rains over Luzon and some parts of the country on Wednesday, the weather bureau PAGASA said.

Meanwhile, it said it is monitoring the tropical cyclone outside the Philippine Area of Responsibility, estimated to be some 1,900 kilometers east of extreme Northern Luzon with maximum sustained winds of 55 km/h and gustiness of up to 70 km/h.

"Significant rainfall" of 50-100 mm is expected in the provinces of Zambales, Bataan and Occidental Mindoro and localized flooding is possible in low lying areas, according to PAGASA weather specialist Chenel Dominguez.

Metro Manila, Ilocos Region, Benguet, Abra, Zambales, Bataan, Tarlac, Pampanga, Nueva Ecija, Bulacan, Cavite, Laguna, Batangas, Palawan, Marinduque, Occidental Mindoro, and Oriental Mindoro will have cloudy skies with scattered rains and thunderstorms due to the Southwest Monsoon.

The Southwest Monsoon will also bring partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms over the rest of Luzon.

Visayas and Mindanao will experience partly cloudy to cloudy skies with isolated rainshowers or thunderstorms due to localized thunderstorms.
