Yellow rainfall warning over NCR, 6 other areas on Thursday morning

PAGASA raised a yellow rainfall warning over Metro Manila, Cavite, Bataan, Zambales, and parts of Batangas, Bulacan, and Pampanga on Thursday morning.

Based on the heavy rainfall advisory issued at 10:15 a.m., PAGASA said flooding is possible in flood-prone areas of the following locations:

  • Metro Manila
  • Cavite
  • Bataan
  • Zambales
  • Batangas (Laurel, Lemery, Calaca, Balayan, Tuy, Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan)
  • Bulacan (Obando, Bulakan, Malolos, Hagonoy, Paombong)
  • Pampanga (Floridablanca, Lubao, Sasmuan, Macabebe, Masantol)

PAGASA issues a yellow rainfall advisory when rains might cause flooding in low-lying areas.

Rainfall is expected to reach 7.5 millimeters to 15 millimeters in an hour or two gallons of water per square meter in the same period of time.

The state weather bureau also said that light to moderate rains with occasional heavy downpours are affecting the following areas, which may persist for up to three hours:

Laguna, Tarlac, Rizal, Pampanga(Apalit, Arayat, Bacolor, San Fernando, Magalang, Mexico, Minalin, San Luis, San Simon, Santa Ana, Santo Tomas, Angeles, Mabalacat, Guagua, Porac, Santa Rita, Candaba), Bulacan(Calumpit, San Jose del Monte, Meycauayan, Marilao, Santa Maria, Bustos, Pandi, Baliuag, Pulilan, Plaridel, Balagtas, Guiguinto, Bocaue, Angat, Dona Remedios Trinidad, Norzagaray, San Ildefonso, San Miguel, San Rafael), Nueva Ecija(Cabiao, Gapan, San Antonio, San Isidro, Zaragoza, General Tinio, Aliaga, Cabanatuan, Gabaldon, General Mamerto Natividad, Guimba, Jaen, Laur, Licab, Nampicuan, Palayan, Penaranda, Quezon, San Leonardo, Santa Rosa, Santo Domingo, Talavera), Quezon(General Nakar, Infanta, Real, Dolores, Tiaong, San Antonio, Candelaria, Sariaya, Tayabas, Lucban, Sampaloc, Mauban, Lucena) and Batangas(Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Lipa, Lobo, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, Padre Garcia, Rosario, San Jose, San Juan, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Santo Tomas, Taal, Talisay, Taysan, Tingloy)
