RAINFALL ALERT: Red in Zambales, parts of Bataan; Orange in Tarlac, 4 areas (Friday, 2 p.m.)

A Red Rainfall Warning has been raised over Zambales and parts of Bataan on Friday afternoon due to the effects of the Southwest Monsoon or Habagat, state weather bureau PAGASA said.

In its advisory released 2 p.m., PAGASA said the following areas are under rainfall warning:

Red Rainfall Warning (Serious flooding in flood-prone areas)

  • Zambales
  • Bataan (Morong, Hermosa, Dinalupihan)
  • Orange Rainfall Warning (Flooding is still threatening)
  • Tarlac
  • Pampanga
  • Bulacan
  • Bataan (Abucay, Bagac, Balanga, Limay, Mariveles, Orani, Orion, Pilar, Samal)
  • Nueva Ecija (Guimba, Quezon, Aliaga, Licab, Cabanatuan, Santa Rosa, Zaragoza, Jaen, San Leonardo, San Antonio, San Isidro, Cabiao, Gapan, General Tinio, Palayan, Penaranda)

Yellow Rainfall Warning (Flooding in flood-prone areas)

  • Metro Manila
  • Rizal
  • Nueva Ecija (Bongabon, Carranglan, Cuyapo, Gabaldon, General Mamerto Natividad, Laur, Llanera, Lupao, Nampicuan, Pantabangan, Rizal, San Jose, Santo Domingo, Munoz, Talavera, Talugtug)
  • Cavite (Bacoor, Kawit, Imus, Cavite City, Noveleta, General Trias, Rosario, Tanza, Naic, Ternate, Maragondon)
  • Batangas (Nasugbu, Lian, Calatagan)

Meanwhile, light to moderate with occasional heavy rains are affecting the following and nearby areas, which may persist within three hours:

  • Quezon (General Nakar, Infanta, Real, Panukulan, Burdeos)
  • Laguna (Santa Maria, Mabitac, Pakil, Pangil, Siniloan, Famy, Paete, Cabuyao, Calamba, Santa Rosa, Binan, San Pedro)
  • Batangas (Agoncillo, Alitagtag, Balayan, Balete, Batangas City, Bauan, Calaca, Tanauan, Cuenca, Ibaan, Laurel, Lemery, Lipa, Mabini, Malvar, Mataasnakahoy, San Jose, San Luis, San Nicolas, San Pascual, Santa Teresita, Taal, Talisay, Tingloy, Tuy, Padre Garcia)
  • Cavite (Alfonso, Amadeo, General Emilio Aguinaldo, Indang, Magallanes, Mendez, Silang, Tagaytay, Trece Martires, Carmona, Dasmarinas, Gen. Mariano Alvarez)

PAGASA advised the public as well as concerned disaster risk reduction and management offices to monitor the weather condition.
