The National Grid Corporation of the Philippines (NGCP) has announced of a 12-hour scheduled power interruption in parts of Iloilo Province on Saturday, May 24, 2025.
The power outage is set from 6 a.m. to 6 p.m.
The power interruption is expected to affect Iloilo Electric Cooperative (ILECO) 1 (San Miguel, Oton, Tigbauan, Guimbal, Miagao, and San Joaquin Substations).
NGCP cited that the power outage is due to the "continuation of woodpole replacement along the Santa Barbara - Miagao - San Joaquin 69kV Line and preventive maintenance of meters."
"Specific affected areas are determined by the Electric Cooperative. NGCP will exert all efforts to restore power earlier or as scheduled," NGCP said.
