Two China Coast Guard (CCG) vessels have exited the Philippines' Exclusive Economic Zone (EEZ) after being shadowed and challenged by the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), preventing them from encroaching further near Pangasinan’s coastline.

According to the PCG, the BRP Cabra pursued CCG vessels 3301 and 3104 to ensure their departure from Philippine waters on February 3, 2025.

While following the Chinese ships, the PCG issued continuous radio challenges to assert the country’s territorial rights.

The Chinese vessels came as close as 34 nautical miles from Pangasinan’s shores.

The ships later moved north near La Union before leaving the EEZ eventually.
