A barangay official in Zamboanga City has offered a cash reward for information that can lead to the arrest of the man who robbed a store in Barangay Manicahan.
CCTV footage showed a man entering the store inside a building around 5 a.m. on Sunday, April 26, 2026.
The suspect went straight to the cashier’s area and tried to open the drawer. When he had difficulty opening it, he looked for an object that could help force it open.
He managed to open the cash drawer eventually and took the money before fleeing on his motorcycle.
According to the barangay chairman, the suspect stole around P7,000 in store earnings.
The barangay official said the store’s staff were already asleep at the time of the incident. They closed the store around 2 a.m.
The barangay chairman is offering a P10,000 reward to anyone who can provide information about the suspect’s identity or whereabouts to help authorities arrest him.
“Muhatag mi og reward P10,000 sa kung kinsa pwede makatudlo kung asa nagpuyo aron pwede ta makahatag og impormasyon sa awtoridad,” Barangay Chairman Erolyn Jade Perez Barredo said.
