A 29-year-old man died while another man was injured in separate stabbing incidents in Bukidnon.

In Barangay Sagbayan, Dancagan, the 29-year-old man had just come from a disco at the barangay covered court on Sunday, April 26, 2026, when the suspect attacked him.

The victim sustained two stab wounds in the back. He was rushed to a hospital but was declared dead on arrival.

Authorities have started checking the area for CCTV cameras so they can review the footage these may have captured.

Investigators are also checking if the victim and the suspect have had prior conflict.

“Kamulo pa ang imbestigasyon sa atoang kapulisan and, at the same time, nangita pa pud ta og mga CCTV kay basin naa’y mga CCTV didto sa area didtong dapita and ga-back tracking ta kung sa background sa biktima kung naa ba ni siya’y naka-alitan before nahitabo o naa ba panaglalis nga nahitabo,” Bukidnon Police Provincial Office Spokesperson, Capt. Shiela Jangad, said.

KIBAWE INCIDENT

Meanwhile, a 58-year-old man was stabbed by his drinking companion in Barangay Talahiron, Kibawe town.

Based on investigation, the two had an altercation prior to the stabbing.

The victim is in stable condition, as of this writing.

The suspect had escaped.

“Nakasibat ang suspek, sir, but definitely atoang ginapaningkamutan nga ma-locate nato ang maong suspetsado,” Jangad said.
