A 39-year-old hospital worker was shot dead in Cotabato City on Monday, May 4, 2026.
Authorities identified the victim as an employee of the Cotabato Regional Medical Center under a job order status.
Based on investigation, the victim was on his way home around 3:25 p.m. when he was ambushed by an unidentified gunman riding a motorcycle in Mother Barangay Rosary Heights.
Police said the assailant shot the victim twice using a caliber .45 pistol.
Authorities are pursuing the suspect, as of this writing.
Police have already identified a person of interest.
However, investigators are still looking into the motive of the attack.
