A 76-year-old man died after the bao-bao tricycle he was driving crashed into a parked truck by the road in Barangay Catalunan, Davao City evening on Thursday, May 7, 2026.
According to the Davao City Police Office (DCPO), the tricycle was coming from Mintal carrying four passengers, including a three-year-old girl, when it suddenly rammed into the rear of the truck.
The truck was parked by the road after it encountered a mechanical problem.
The tricycle driver was pinned down fatally while his passengers sustained injuries. They were rushed to the hospital for treatment.
The 23-year-old truck driver was taken into police custody after the incident.
