A 41-year-old fisherman who had been missing for three days was found dead in Zamboanga City morning on Tuesday, May 19, 2026.
Authorities said the victim was found floating at sea off Sitio Pitas, Barangay Bolong, and his body was brought to shore by boat around 7 a.m.
According to the Philippine Coast Guard (PCG), the fisherman went missing at dawn on May 16 after he headed out to sea alone to fish.
By 7:30 a.m. that same day, only his boat was spotted by other fishermen in the waters of Sitio Pitas.
Authorities are still investigating the incident to determine the exact cause of death.
