A 38-year-old man and his two children died after they were carried away by strong current at the Talomo River in Barangay Calinan Poblacion, Davao City afternoon on Tuesday, May 26, 2026.

According to a report by GMA Super Radyo Davao, the Davao City Police Office (DCPO) said the body of the four-year-old victim was found first floating near the area where the incident happened on Thursday.

Rescuers recovered the bodies of the father and his eight-year-old child at a dam canal managed by the National Irrigation Administration (NIA) morning on Wednesday, May 27, 2026.

Based on investigation, the victims were reportedly swimming in the river when a sudden surge of floodwaters rushed downstream and swept them away.

The remains of the victims have been brought to a funeral home in Calinan.
