A P10 increase in environmental and terminal fees at the Roll-on/Roll-off (RORO) Port in Cordova, Cebu took effect on Wednesday, July 1, 2026.
With this, the environmental fee is now P20 from P10.
“P10 increase from the original P10 is P20, that’s barato rapud kaayo. Dili kaayo siya maka effect because nindot man sad kaayo ang port namo diri sa Cordova. Very accessible from CCLEX and the port facilities is very clean,” island hopping operator, Mark Ramirez, said.
Meanwhile, the terminal fee for regular passengers has also increased to P15 from just P5.
However, if a passenger can present a valid ID proving that they are a student, senior citizen, or PWD, the fare will remain at P10.
The terminal fees for vehicles are as follows:
- P25 for each motorcycle
- P50 for tricycles
- P100 for private cars and vans
- P150 for light trucks and PUJs
- P200 for heavy trucks and buses.
It can be recalled that an ordinance on the prescribed terminal and environmental fees for both passengers and vehicles was approved in June 2026.
Vice Mayor Victor Tago III explained that this measure aims to fund the expansion of the right side of the RORO port, as more motorbancas are now docking there due to the growth of the island-hopping industry.
“Nag re-apply ta sa atoang application for the management of the port which positive ang atoang CPA nga mahatagan ta to manage the port. Unya because need man nato panindoton ang atong terminal port for convenience,” Vice Mayor Victor Tago III said.
Aside from motor bancas that cater to island hopping trips, a fast craft also travels to Getafe, Bohol and a Landing Craft Tank (LCT) docks at the RORO port.
Additional air-conditioning units will also be installed in the RORO port terminal, and the use of the comfort room will now be free.
The seating has also been improved, and the entire RORO port is now more orderly and very clean.
The workers or operators at the port also now have IDs.
Based on records of the Office of the RORO Port Administrator, the RORO Port of Cordova collected P5,005,270 from January to December 2025.
Meanwhile, in the first six months of 2026, its income has reached P3,768,540.
