Authorities in Pangasinan remained on blue alert on Friday, July 10, 2026, as rains enhanced by Typhoon #IndayPH continued to affect parts of Northern Luzon, prompting residents in flood-prone areas to prepare for possible flooding even as no major flooding had been reported.

Heavy rains caused flooding along Naguilian Road in Barangay Irisan, Baguio City, morning on Friday, according to videos shared by residents. Locals said floodwaters rose quickly after overnight and early morning rainfall.

In Atok, Benguet, strong winds swayed flower fields while thick fog covered parts of the mountains as the effects of the typhoon reached the Cordillera region.

The Cordillera Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Council (CDRRMC) remained under Code Blue alert and activated its Response and Early Recovery Cluster to monitor the situation and respond to emergencies.

In Pangasinan, the PAGASA Dagupan station said Inday would continue to enhance the southwest monsoon, bringing more rain to the province.

Residents in low-lying barangays in Calasiao have started preparing for possible flooding. In Barangay Lasip, Merly Caragay said her family had already moved their belongings to the second floor of their home.

“Pinaghahandaan 'yan kasi taon-taon na dumadaan 'yan. Kaya naka-ready na kung sakaling umulan ng malakas,” Caragay said.

The Calasiao Municipal Disaster Risk Reduction and Management Office (MDRRMO) said river levels in the town remained normal despite isolated cases of stagnant rainwater in some areas.

“Although 'yung iba lang ay mayroong mga isolated cases na nagkaroon ng stagnant rainwater sa kanilang area, kaya naman ito ay isolated lamang,” Kristine Joy Soriano, spokesperson of the Calasiao DRRM Office, said.

Rescue equipment has also been pre-positioned in the municipality as part of disaster preparedness measures.

The Pangasinan Provincial DRRM Office also remained under Code Blue alert despite the weakening of the typhoon. Emergency Operations Center head Pia Flores said local governments had been advised to implement precautionary measures, including preemptive evacuations in areas at risk of rain-induced landslides.

“Para sa mga local counterparts natin, nang sa gayon ay magpatupad sila ng mga kinakailangang measures, pre-emptive evacuation, lalong-lalo na ang mga rain-induced landslides,” Flores said.

As of press time, authorities said no significant flooding or evacuations had been recorded in Pangasinan. Residents were also advised to avoid swimming, fishing, and other water activities while rough sea conditions persist along the province's coastal waters.
