Authorities have launched an investigation into the discovery of a human skull at a remote area in Barangay Cansojong, Talisay City, Cebu.
Police said the skull was found by a scavenger.
Authorities have yet to identify who the skull belonged to and have yet to determine where the other skeletal remains may have been.
According to the Talisay City Police, a family who reported a missing relative went to the police station and sought confirmation if the skull belonged to their loved one.
DNA samples were already collected from the skull for verification.
“Wa pa ta kakuan kung ngano ulo ato nakita, padayon pa ato imbestigasyon karon na swabbing nato nag claim nga nawad-an to confirm mao ba to ila gipangita,” Talisay City Chief of Police, Lt. Col. Homobono Sayon, said.
