Five people, including two women accused of maintaining a drug den, were arrested when authorities raided a house in Dagupan City, Pangasinan, where they allegedly caught the suspects using illegal drugs, the Philippine Drug Enforcement Agency (PDEA) said.

The raid was carried out on the afternoon on July 13, 2026 at a house in Sitio Aling, Barangay Pantal. PDEA agents said they found five individuals allegedly engaged in a drug session inside the house.

Among those arrested were two women identified by authorities as the alleged ‘maintainers’ of the drug den, along with three other individuals.

PDEA Pangasinan Provincial Officer Dexter Asayco said the operation stemmed from a buy-bust operation targeting a suspect in their watchlist.

“Naabutan natin sila na ongoing ang pot session nila. 'Yung main subject natin ng buy-bust at watchlisted natin, siya 'yung maintainer ng drug den,” he said.

Authorities recovered six sachets containing suspected shabu and various drug paraphernalia from the suspects during the operation.

Asayco said the raid was part of PDEA's intensified campaign, together with other law enforcement agencies, to stop the illegal sale and use of dangerous drugs in the province.

“Para sa atin, isa itong malaking accomplishment kasi naka-dismantle tayo ng isang drug den. Nahuli natin ang maintainer kung saan siya 'yung nagbebenta, siya 'yung nagpapagamit sa bahay niya as drug den. Doon talaga nagpupunta 'yung mga user,” he said.

The five suspects have been charged with violating Republic Act No. 9165, or the Comprehensive Dangerous Drugs Act of 2002.

The suspects are yet to release a statement, as of press time.
