Police in Zamboanga City and Misamis Oriental launched separate investigations into a social media post that sparked public concern and an alleged threat against college instructors.

Authorities launched an investigation into a Facebook post carrying the caption “Tapos na Ateneo, ako naman sa Trade char,” which drew public attention in Zamboanga City.

According to the Zamboanga City Police Office (ZCPO), authorities investigated the post to identify and locate the person behind the account.

Authorities urged schools and students to remain vigilant against dissemination of posts or information that could unnecessarily cause public alarm or disturbance.
