Twitter gleeful after US senator Ted Cruz’s account ‘likes’ porn post
Texas Senator Ted Cruz found himself in the spotlight Tuesday after it was discovered that his official Twitter account had "liked" a hardcore porn clip posted on the social media site.
The Washington Post described the two-minute video as featuring "a sectional sofa, the pornographic actress Cory Chase, her fictitious nude stepdaughter, and a very energetic young man."
The tweet was "liked" by Cruz's account in the early hours of Tuesday.
Twitter erupted in glee that Cruz, a conservative "family values" Republican who once argued in court that people don't have a "due-process right" to masturbate, seems to have been caught, well, red-handed.
One Twitter user shared an old Cruz tweet defining "marriage as between a man & woman."
"...and another woman and the cable guy and maybe the pizza deliveryman," the user added.

I believe that we all have our own ways of remembering 9/11, but I was taken aback by Ted Cruz's approach.

When you make a career of shaming others for their sex lives and autonomy, I call something like this poetic justice. #TedCruz

Netizens also dug up a year-old tweet by Cruz's old college roommate.
"Ted Cruz thinks people don't have a right to 'stimulate their genitals.' I was his college roommate. This would be a new belief of his," writer and producer Craig Mazin tweeted in 2016.

After news of the porn "like" broke, Mazin posted another pointed tweet, one that brings haunting images to mind:
"Now imagine Ted Cruz is doing this four feet below you in the bottom bunk bed. Yes, my misery very much appreciates your company," he said.

Yes, my misery very much appreciates your company.
Cruz has blamed the "like" to a "staffing issue" and said that several people had access to the account. — BM, GMA News
