There's hope in finding love online — Pia Wurtzbach is proof

The first question in everyone's search for love is usually: Where do you even begin to look? A bar? A friend's party? Tinder?

The internet may seem like a hopeless place these days, but it's where Miss Universe 2015 Pia Wurtzbach found her current beau Marlon Stockinger. In a makeup tutorial video with Filipino-American beauty vlogger Patrick Starrr posted on December 19, the beauty queen revealed that they met online.

"I found my boyfriend on Instagram," she told Patrick and confirmed that she checked out his account during her reign.

Pia said she had a crush on him before, but at that time, she kept losing in Binibining Pilipinas and she was thinking he was never going to notice her.

With the crown on her head and a confidently beautiful heart, she made the first move.

"I started liking a few pictures first just to kind of knock on a door, let him know I'm here," she said.

Marlon was looking at his Instagram during this liking spree and he later told Pia that he noticed it.

"He wasn't (following me). He didn't even know who I was!" Queen P said.

She said this was a good thing, staying consistent to their low-key approach to being together.
