A number of brands jumped in, using the logo's simple visuals as a punchline.
Artist Toym Imao, known for his commanding installation works ("Last, Lost, Lust For Four Forgotten Episodes", "Super Robot - Suffer Reboot", and "Desaparecidos"), on Monday shared his own take on the logo.

Imao replaced the circles in the logo with reticles and referenced the "Hunger Games" with a not-so-subtle tagline, "Philippines 2019: 3rd YR Murder Games. Now You SEE them- Now You Don't."
"So sorry...just couldn't resist it, while I was having a coffee break :) , it's amazing what you can do with Powerpoint since I'm so old school and Photoshop illiterate hehehe - cannot unSEA," Imao wrote on his personal Facebook account.
The logo is an abstraction of the map of the archipelago using 11 circles, meant to represent the participating nations.
The overlapping rings, Foreign Affairs Secretary Alan Peter Cayetano explained, show that "wherever and whenever the games are played, we are one and we win as one." — Aya Tantiangco/LA, GMA News
