Experience the benefits of having a personal stylist through StyleGenie
Stuck in a style rut? Wishing you had someone to pick out clothes for you and deliver them to your doorstep? Well, your dreams have come true, girl!
The first ever styling and subscription box website has been invented by five women who have a passion for fashion! StyleGenie gives women a modern way of shopping. Style tips and access to unique pieces hand-picked by expert stylists are now just a few clicks away.
Signing up for StyleGenie starts with a "style quiz" to build your profile and assess what kind of style suits your personality, body type, and the event where you will wear the outfit.
"StyleGenie will help girls identify what will work on their personality, body type—which is very important—occasion where you want to be styled for, and of course budget," Erika Ongtauco-Siy told GMA News Online in an interview.
The service features different stylists every month and they collaborate with various fashion professionals. This October, they are working with celebrity stylist Ken Batino.
"StyleGenie gives fashion tips based on our client’s comprehensive style quiz that they answered through our website. We will give notes on how to mix and match, it's really specially curated per client. StyleGenie is like your personal stylist, A friend, so ladies will be confident and feel empowered," Ongtauco-Siy explained.
Stylegenie offers three kinds of "Surprise-Me" boxes:
- Basic (P899) includes 2 clothing pieces
- Deluxe (P1,899) includes 5 clothing pieces
- Premium (P3,499) gives you 4 Basic Surprise-Me boxes to be delivered to you once a week for a whole month.
According to Ongtauco-Siy, the matching process is about expressing the client's sense of self, identity, and her perception of who she is.
"Personally, I have been so obsessed with Barbies—styling them and making them pretty and stylish. Imagining how it will work in real life!" she declared.
StlyeGenie's founder Abbie Victorino had her light bulb moment while enjoying her diet delivery meal wondered why there hasn't been one to solve the daily morning dilemma: "I have nothing to wear!"
The huge selection of clothes online and in shopping malls can get overwhelming and combined with other factors (like traffic and parking fees), the relaxing task of shopping could become stressful.
The quintet who now run StyleGenie took these issues in consideration and developed a fashionable solution. — BM/AT, GMA News
