Worldwide fan activities for ‘Alien’ films happening on Wednesday

Fans of the Alien movies who are looking forward to Ridley Scott’s next epic entry, “Alien: Covenant,” are in for a treat on Wednesday, as the franchise will celebrate April 26 as “Alien Day” with 24 hours of fan-focused activities worldwide.

According to a press release from 20th Century Fox, the choice of April 26 as Alien Day "is a nod to planet LV-426 from the iconic Alien films."

On this day, the “Alien: Covenant” cast will join festivities such as a live streaming event on the newly launched Alien Universe Hub, a Q&A session with fans, worldwide screenings, product launches, and an interactive trivia challenge available for only 24 hours on the Alien Universe Hub, where Fox will unveil a new quiz every 4 hours and 26 minutes.

In the local scene, the “Alien: Covenant” In Utero exhibit in TriNoma Mall will showcase photos at the Trinoma Cinema lobby as well as a virtual reality (VR) experience where users can experience firsthand being the brand new species of alien known as the Neomorph. This first-person perspective simulation begins on Wednesday at 7:00 p.m., so be sure to visit as well as get the chance to take home a free “Alien: Covenant” poster!
