Pilot queen Nelda Ibe shares throwback photo from Miss World PHL 2014

Like many of the beauty queens who take the stage, Miss Globe Philippines 2017 Nelda Ibe is not a stranger to defeat.

Back in 2014, Ibe joined the Miss World Philippines pageant and came home falling short of winning the coveted crown.

On Sunday, the Miss World Philippines 2017 coronation night, Ibe shared a photo of herself during the evening gown competition three years ago and left a message for aspiring queens.

"Can't help but reminisce My Miss World Philippines 2014 Journey! Here's my Coronation night final look. Ladies, Tonight is the night! KEEP CALM AND WIN THE CROWN," Ibe wrote, signing it as "Miss World Philippines 2014 - 2nd Princess."

Reigning Miss Universe Philippines Rachel Peters competed in the same pageant and also fell short, finishing as Fourth Princess.

The year 2014 was an unlucky year for the woman who, three years later in 2017, would win the Miss World Philippines crown.

Laura Lehmann placed first runner-up in the 51st edition of Binibining Pilipinas and was not given an opportunity to compete in an international pageant.

Three years later, the three ladies emerged victorious are preparing to represent the Philippines to the world.

Miss Globe Philippines Nelda Ibe will be representing the Philippines possibly in Finland, Binibining Pilipinas Universe Rachel Peters in Miss Universe possibly in the Philippines, and Miss World Philippines Laura Lehmann in China come November.
