Pauleen Luna Sotto on pregnancy and PCOS, the ‘beautiful mess’ that is parenting

Lucky are kids born to a parent like Pauleen Luna - Sotto, a fountain of love for a child she has always wanted. 

"I think I was born to be a mom," Pauleen revealed in an interview with Smart Parenting. "Ang dami kong pregnancy tests sa banyo, because I really wanted to have a baby."

In the interview, Pauleen shared her struggles conceiving because of Polycystic Ovary Syndrome (PCOS) and more struggles when she gave birth.

In the full interview with Smart Parenting, she detailed the frightening experience of watching her baby's heart rate drop.

"For a solid eight minutes, I was speechless, I was shaking. After that, they decided to open me up, kasi they couldn't take a risk na mangyari ulit yun ng another time na wala akong monitor," Pauleen said. 

Still, Pauleen loves the "beautiful mess" that is parenting and motherhood and she tells her fellow moms, "Don't be too hard on yourself, this is a journey, and it's normal na sometimes you succeed, sometimes hindi." — AT, GMA News
