Now open: Islas Pinas in Pasay

Newly opened Islas Pinas is an ambitious venture to showcase the country's finest, starting from a warm welcome from a Bahay Kubo to a seat at a balangay.

Located mere minutes from the Ninoy Aquino International Airport, the "Food and Heritage Village" is born from the love of our cuisine and our salu-salo culture. The 2,500 square meter space has a seating capacity of 700 — plenty of room for family and friends.

Under one roof, specific stations serve Pinoy delicacies from North to South.

There's "Sinag," inspired by the Tagalog word for the rays of sunshine, offering all-day Filipino breakfast favorites like Tapsilog and Bachoy.

Tusok-Tusok Station brings the experience of street food indoors, offering isaw-isaw, barbecue, and even lechon. There's also a halo-halo station to combat the sweltering heat. Enjoy this across Aling Pasing's Sari-Sari store or atop a footbridge replica.

And then there's Bilao, offering merienda staples like pancit and puto; Panaderya meanwhile will have you embracing carbs again with treats like Three-cheese Ensaymada.

Natural light lends additional ambiance to the already quaint village, which mimics the iconic architecture of some of the country's best tourist destinations like Intramuros and the Paoay Church in Ilocos.

Foreign visitors might find the authentic Sarao jeep parked along "Tambay Avenue" an irresistible spot for a selfie.

Islas Pinas is a collaboration between the DoubleDragon Group and Asia's Best Female Chef of 2016 Margarita Fores, with the support of Tourism Secretary Bernadette Romulo-Puyat.

"[Puyat's help] fast-tracked such a blessed opportunity to continue pushing my biggest advocacy — that of helping to promote the best of our country — our cuisine, ingredients, farers, artisan producers and home cooks from Batanes to Jolo — in the best way I can," Fores said in a press statement.
