How to avoid rainy season diseases
W.I.L.D. diseases are common during the rainy season.
W.I.L.D. stands for "water-borne diseases," "influenza," "leptospirosis," and "dengue."
According to Health Secretary Janette Loreto-Garin, proper hygiene and lifestyle habits can protect people from rainy season diseases.
At a medical forum on Wednesday, Garin said people must sleep well, eat healthy, exercise regularly, and dispose waste properly to spare themselves from diseases.
Simple things like covering your mouth when you sneeze or washing your hands properly with soap and water will protect you and others from diseases.
