Lady Gaga, Paul McCartney, Elton John to play ONE World: Together at Home online music festival in fight vs. COVID-19 pandemic


Asia's largest martial arts promotion ONE Championship, in partnership with Global Citizen, is set to feature the biggest stars in the music industry in a fresh initiative to combat the COVID-19 pandemic.

The ONE World: Together At Home will be a global online music festival to be streamed on the organization's official Facebook page and app — for free.

 


According to a press statement from ONE Championship, Lady Gaga, Billie Eilish, Chris Martin, Charlie Puth, John Legend, Elton John, Stevie Wonder, Paul McCartney, Alicia Keys, and are just a few of the biggest names that are set to participate.

The event will be hosted by talk show superstars Jimmy Fallon, Stephen Colbert, and Jimmy Kimmel.

The online event will also be joined by some of the biggest MMA stars ONE Championship has to offer.

Former UFC flyweight champion Demetrious Johnson, Vitor Belfort, Angela Lee, former UFC lightweight champion Eddie Alvarez, Martin Nguyen, and former UFC women's bantamweight champion Miesha Tate are set to make their respective appearances.

Details of the event broadcast are as follows:

Saturday, April 18, 2020 at 11 a.m. PDT/2:00 p.m. EDT/7:00 p.m. GMT/Sunday, 19 April, 2020 at 2.00 a.m. SGT.

The event will also be replayed by ONE Championship on Facebook, YouTube, and the ONE Super App over a 24-hour period.

Amy Poehler, Andrea Bocelli, Awkwafina, Billie Joe Armstrong of Green Day, Burna Boy, Camila Cabello, Celine Dion, David & Victoria Beckham, Eddie Vedder, Ellen DeGeneres, FINNEAS, Idris and Sabrina Elba, J Balvin, Jennifer Lopez, Kacey Musgraves, Keith Urban, Kerry Washington, Lang Lang, Lizzo, LL COOL J, Lupita Nyong’o, Maluma, Matthew McConaughey, Oprah Winfrey, Pharrell Williams, Priyanka Chopra Jonas, Sam Smith, Shah Rukh Khan, Shawn Mendes, Taylor Swift, and Usher, among others, are also set to appear.

As part of the initiative, ONE Championship will also donate ten percent (10%) of all proceeds from its brand-new online merchandise store one.shop to the WHO’s COVID-Solidarity Fund. — LA, GMA News
