Alden Richards, Ruru Madrid among Garage Magazine's best dressed men of 2018
Kapuso actors Ruru Madrid and Alden Richards are among the best dressed awardees of Garage Magazine this year.
The Street Dapper Kings is an annual recognition that the magazine doles out to best-dressed male celebrities.
"Because it's our 10th anniversary, we recognized 10 men for their style. And then we decided to give Alden the award because, he has the most number of covers," said Garage editor-in-chief Rey Ilagan to GMA News Online.
"We've seen Alden's style evolve ever since he appeared in our young talents cover a long time ago so there really is history there. Alden has progressed and become more conscious with his style," Rey continued.
The Garage team was all praises for Ruru Madrid, who has truly found his style. "When we first put him on the cover in 2016, he was still looking for his style. We've seen him grow in terms of his looks. And it's not just about his clothes — Ruru has taken great care in his overall appearance, grooming and fitness wise," Rey said.
This is the first time Alden and Ruru were recognized as a Street Dapper King by the publication.
On his Instagram account, Ruru thanked the magazine for including him "on your top 10 most stylish men."
The awarding ceremony happened on Sunday at Tent City in Manila Hotel. Joining Ruru and Alden were photographer BJ Pascual, food blogger Christian Mark Jacobs, director Gino Santos, racecar driver Marlon Stockinger, and singer Jason Dy.
Completing the best dressed list are surfer Luke Landrigan, basketball player Kiefer Ravena, actor Edward Barber, and model Tommy Esguerra. — LA, GMA News
