Marian Rivera launches new line of pearl jewelry with local brand

Kapuso Primetime Queen Marian Rivera on Thursday opened a pink box of beauty, perfect for the holiday season.

Marian was tapped by Philippine brand Kultura to help design a new collection of pearl jewelry paired with semi-precious stones like amethyst and white topaz. The variety of fresh water pearls — Baroque, Coin, Seed or Keishi — are locally sourced and locally crafted.

For Marian, the best part of the collection is that it supports a whole industry in the Philippines.

“Kapag bumili ka ng gawang Pinoy, nakatulong ka pa sa kapwa mo Filipino,” she said.

In addition to this, a portion of the proceeds also goes to Smile Train, Marian’s charity of choice.

For Marian, her name on the pink box is not the best part of the collection. She believes in the quality of locally made products and hopes that her jewelry line inspires “pagmamahal sa gawang Pinoy.” — LA, GMA News
