KulTOURa: a new mobile app that will guide travelers navigate and enjoy the PHL

Check out KulTOURa, a new mobile app that will guide travelers navigate the interesting sights of the Philippines. Like a travel guide, it features information on heritage sites, historic schools and churches, nature parks, and other must-sees of the country.

Unlike the usual travel apps however, KulTOURa contains detailed information on history of selected cities and provinces, including famous personalities, food, and others for better appreciation of the traveler.

Some landmarks in fact, will feature near-field communicators, QR codes, and wi-fi so travelers and users of the app can get more information through phone scans. How hi-tech is that?

According to NCCA Chair Virgilio S. Almario, KulTOURa was made to help tourists and students learn more about the culture and history of the Philippines.

KulTOURa is a free app available in the App Store and Google Play. It’s a joint project of the NCCA, Department of Tourism, Smart Communications and Innopub Media. —LA, GMA News
