No PSE trading on October 16
Trading at the Philippine Stock Exchange (PSE) will be suspended on Monday, following the suspension of operations of the Bangko Sentral ng Pilipinas (BSP).
"There will be no trading and clearing and settlement at the PSE/SCCP (Securities Clearing Corporation of the Philippines) tomorrow, October 16, due to suspension of operations in PhilPaSS," the local bourse said in an advisory.
The PhilPaSS or the Philippine Payments and Settlements System (PhilPaSS) is the country's system where both processing and final settlement of fund transfer instructions take place.
PhilPaSS is regulated by the BSP, which said it will suspend clearing operations on Monday.
