The CDC said the electronics sector rebounded after a slowdown in the last quarter of 2011. However, CDC noted that tourism-related projects are down due to lean season, and that summer vacation is yet to start. Also, it said aviation and aviation-related industries are now hiring, along with some concessionaire firms because of the increasing number of employees working at night shift in the Freeport. The agency said other firms that are on the hiring mode are Texas Instruments, Nanox Philippines, Phoenix Semiconductor Philippines Corp., Poongsan Microtec Philippines Corp., and SMK Electronics Corp. — LBG, GMA News
