Brunei plant in need of Filipino workers, says POEA


MANILA, Philippines - A liquefied natural gas (LNG) plant in Brunei Darussalam is need of Filipino workers, the Philippine Overseas Employment Administration (POEA) said on Tuesday. Urgently required by the Brunei Lng Sendirian Berhad are operators, coordinators, technicians, planners, contractors, construction workers, engineers, and procurement, project management, and maintenance personnel, the POEA said on its Web site. The qualifications required by the company include at least five years relevant experience in the oil and gas industry, preferably in an LNG plant. It also asks for at least a professional diploma or industry standard training plus experience in Health, Safety, and Environment (HSE) standards and work practices. Qualified applicants may personally register and submit their detailed resumes with job descriptions, certificates of employment or training, diploma and transcript of records, board license or certificate, valid PRC card (if applicable), passport copy, and one passport size picture, between 8 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the nearest POEA Regional Extension Unit. They may also register at the POEA website. Successful candidates will be offered a minimum four-year contract, an “attractive" basic salary with benefits including an annual salary supplement, a service gratuity in lieu of pension entitlements, rent-free accommodation with subsidized utilities, free medical and child's education, use of recreational facilities and an annual leave with free airfare.
